Ito's Dream

from by Jason Rubenstein

Before this CD, I'd jam as many sound textures into song as possible. Ito's Dream (named after one of the textures that went into the mix) is a departure from that style. Instead, it uses "space", and I try to showcase the individual sounds. It's like showing off an emerald or a sapphire on a bed of black cloth instead of in a sea of other gems. The "black" is the silence.

This song reminds me of music played in the expanse of a very dark night.
